2014 Mbraun Auto LMF II Auto Solvent Filter

Description

The MBRAUN Auto LMF II (often styled as MB-LMF-2) is an automated solvent filter system designed for integration with MBRAUN Gloveboxes. It protects internal gas purifiers from degradation by continuously scrubbing volatile solvent vapors (such as hexanes or toluene) out of the inert atmosphere.

Core Features

  • Automated Dual-Adsorber Design: Features two separate solvent filter columns (LMF 1 and LMF 2). While one is actively in the circulation loop scrubbing solvent vapor, the second is automatically regenerating. [1, 2]
  • Continuous Operation: Because the system alternates between filters, you can run experiments continuously without pausing the gas purification system to swap out saturated carbon traps. [1, 2]

PLC Control: Regeneration programs are fully PLC-operated and load molecular sieve/activated charcoal as the adsorbent media.

Operation & Troubleshooting

  • Inline vs. Bypass Modes: You can toggle the unit to circulate via "Inline" or remove the filter from circulation manually without stopping the primary gas purifier ("Bypass"). [1]
  • Touchscreen Indication: The operating status (which filter is scrubbing vs. regenerating) is displayed on the glovebox's solvent filter screen
