  • Zoom Range: 0.75x to 11.25x, with a total magnification range of 3.75x to 540x, depending on the chosen eyepieces and objectives.
  • Zoom Ratio: 15:1, the world's largest zoom ratio for a stereo microscope.
  • Objectives: High Resolution (HR) Apochromatic objectives, including 0.5x, 1x, and 1.6x options. The 1.6x objective offers an NA of 0.21 and a resolving power of 630 lines per millimeter. These objectives are designed to minimize distortion, chromatic aberration, and curvature of field.
  • Eyepieces: High eyepoint eyepieces with diopter adjustment, minimizing eyestrain. Options include a standard inclined 20-degree binocular tube, a low eye-level viewing tube, or a tilting eyepiece tube.
  • Focusing: Coaxial coarse/fine focusing unit with an anti-backlash mechanism for smooth and accurate focus. A fine focus control is also located on the front of diascopic stands.
  • Working Distance: Typically 70mm with the Plan Apo 1.0x auxiliary lens, with a large working distance of more than 50 mm possible.
  • Additional Features: Integrated iris diaphragm within the zoom body, click-stop zoom intervals from 1x to 11x, a wide field of view, and a built-in aperture diaphragm for controlling depth of focus. The SMZ1500 supports various accessories, illuminators, and observation techniques, including epi-fluorescence
